Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve never done it before. You don’t need to know what’s wrong, articulate your goals in perfect language, or have a diagnosis in mind. You just need to reach out.
When you contact us, we’ll set up a brief phone call to understand what you’re looking for and match you with a clinician whose specialty fits your situation. Then we schedule your intake — either in person at our Greenwood Village office or via telehealth.
Your first session is an assessment — a conversation, not a test. Your therapist will ask about what brought you in, your history (family, medical, relational, spiritual), your current struggles, and your goals. You don’t have to be articulate. You don’t have to come with a plan. It’s our job to help you name what’s happening.
We’ll also talk about logistics: how often you’d benefit from meeting, what approaches might fit, and what your treatment plan might look like. You leave the first session with a sense of direction, not just more questions.
Most clients attend weekly 50-minute sessions. Some treatments — like Prolonged Exposure for PTSD — involve 90-minute sessions. Couples sessions are typically 50–80 minutes. We’ll discuss the right cadence during your intake.
Sessions are structured but not rigid. We’ll work on specific skills, process what’s happening in your life, and build toward the goals you set together. Progress isn’t linear — there will be breakthroughs and setbacks. That’s normal. The therapeutic relationship is what carries you through.
Because we’re Catholic therapists, many clients come to us wanting faith integrated into the work. That looks different for every person. For some, it means discussing how spiritual life relates to their struggles, or incorporating practices like the Examen. For others, it means processing a difficult experience of Church or spirituality. For others, faith stays in the background while we focus on symptoms and skills.
You set the pace. We won’t push faith into the work, and we won’t substitute prayer for clinical care. Both matter.
Sessions are $155. We accept Colorado Medicaid (Colorado Access and Rocky Mountain Health Plans) and provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement with commercial insurance. We see clients Monday through Thursday, in person in Greenwood Village and via telehealth throughout Colorado.
